ADELAIDE EYE & RETINA CENTRE

Adelaide Eye and Retina Centre is a bespoke ophthalmology clinic in the heart of Adelaide’s medical precinct.

AERC Ophthalmologists specialise in the medical and surgical care of the eyes and vision and are leaders in their fields. They diagnose, treat and manage many conditions and diseases of the eye.

We approached every aspect of their project from the point of view of patient experience and to ensure that each space achieves optimum functional performance. We then selected a natural palette including french limestone, smoked glass & chalkstone and applied them with contemporary detailing to create a fresh clean interior that is warm and welcoming for both staff and patients.

Integrated within the centre of the clinic is an art gallery showcasing the photography of one of the practise partners, Dr James Muecke AM.

Dr Muecke is also one of the founding partners of Sight For All, a non-denominational, not-for-profit organisation that provides eye health services in neighbouring developing countries.

Photography commissioned by Sight For All for its fundraising campaigns can be seen throughout the clinic.
